Key drivers of the French Social Economy The drivers of the French Social Economy are mainly based on:

  1. Men and women are at the heart of the economy and is the ultimate goal: the person and the object take precedence over social capital,
  2. Membership in the projects and structures is open and voluntary,
  3. Management is democratic election of officers, one person one vote (and not an action one vote), establishment of collective decision-making bodies,
  4. The profit orientation is limited: non-distributable capital formation, the bulk of the surplus is not redistributable,
  5. Management is autonomous and independent government, but cooperation is developed,
  6. The principles of solidarity and responsibility guide the implementation of actions.
